From
Mark Carnes: Here's the
report for this year’s cleanup. While Mother Nature did manage to send the
rain away, she didn't exactly turn up the temperature. It was quite chilly
out there, with a blanket of clouds that refused to disperse until the
cleanup was nearly over. That may have had something to do with the smaller
turnout. However, 123 highly motivated and deeply dedicated volunteers
attended the event, collecting 6 cubic yards or 1,206 gallons (U.S. Dry
Measure) of litter. I'd like to offer a big thank you to all of our
volunteers!! Your commitment and hard work are what makes this event so
successful year after year! I’d also like to thank everyone who helped with
the preparation work leading up to this year’s cleanup as well as all of the
local businesses who donated supplies, snacks and beverages.
Until next time…..best
wishes to you all for the year to come and we'll see you next Fall!
