From Mark Carnes, WSM - The 25th Annual Hoover Litter Cleanup was held on Saturday, September 28th and I am very pleased to report that 244 volunteers attended the event, even with the chance of rain in the forecast. Fortunately, it held off for the duration of the cleanup and left us with partly cloudy skies and beautiful Autumn temperatures. Your hard work and tireless effort resulted in the collection 15 cubic yards of litter, equaling 2,603 gallons(U.S. Dry Measure).

Thank you volunteers for your tremendous effort and dedication to keeping Hoover Reservoir a place to enjoy the beauty of nature and for helping to protect this precious resource!!!! Thank you, sponsors, for your continuing support in providing us with snacks and beverages to offer our volunteers as well as the supplies needed to get the job done!! Finally, thank you Watershed staff, for your assistance with preparation and everything you do during the event to make sure our volunteers are ready to go!!
